Game rooms

Online games store the room’s state, player display names and access tokens so friends can play together. Rooms expire after 24 hours. Room passwords are stored as salted hashes. Do not use a password you use for another account.

Room text chat

Messages are shared with players who have joined the same room, including players who join later. We keep up to 80 recent messages per room, with the sender’s display name and the time sent. Messages stop being accessible when the room expires after 24 hours; expired records are removed during subsequent chat activity. Do not share sensitive information in room chat.

Safety reports and blocks

If you report another player, we store your room identity, their name and room identity, the room code, your reason and description, and up to 10 of their recent text messages. Reports are available only to the owner for moderation for up to 90 days and are removed during subsequent reporting or moderation activity. Blocking relationships and moderator restrictions apply to the room identity and expire with the room. Voice is not recorded as report evidence. Read our community rules or contact us to request help with a report.

Voice chat

Joining voice chat requests microphone permission. Audio is exchanged between participating devices. Oops! does not record your voice. Connection information is exchanged to connect players.

Game usage statistics

We measure game-page visits, devices active recently, and rounds started and completed. Our hosting provider estimates the country from the visitor’s IP address. We save only the country code, not the IP address or precise location. VPNs and mobile networks can affect this estimate. Your browser stores a random anonymous identifier and a visit identifier to avoid counting repeat requests as new visitors. A new visit starts after 30 minutes away. We store anonymous daily activity and game-count records for historical reporting, accessible only to the owner.

These statistics do not contain player names, room passwords, IP addresses or audio. They cannot tell how many people share a device. Blocking requests or clearing browser storage can affect the counts. Browser preferences such as language are also saved on your device.

Traffic sources

We also save campaign labels from tagged links and a general referring-site category, linked to the anonymous visit, to understand which promotions bring visitors who play. The first source is kept for that visit. We do not save full referring URLs, search terms or advertising click IDs. Source records are available only to the owner.

Hosting and advertising

The hosting providers process network requests to deliver and protect the site. We have applied for Google AdSense; advertising and consent settings may change before live ads are enabled. The game’s demonstration ad is not a paid advertisement.
